Kamryn's find at the local quilt shop

Kamryn found her some fat quarters at the Quilting Barn in Arlington Thursday. I will remind you that she turned 2 just in March, but she is smart beyond her years! I got about 5 fabs and she got 6. They were all in the same bag and when we got home she was able to sort them quickly by mine and hers! She knew each one as soon as she touched it and would say 'mine' or 'Mimi's'! I had no idea she could distinguish that well! She was confused why there were no horses in the barn, when I told her it was called the Quilting Barn, she said, there horses in there? or cows in there? She was well behaved and welcomed by the staff and customers of the barn! I think we have a future quilter!!!
Oh, I gave her own box to organize her fabs in, you may not be able to see in the picture, but she has all 3 of her baby dolls covered in fat quarters. She hasn't quite grasped the concept that the fabric alone does not make a quilt but she is sure they are to add comfort for her babies. She strategically would place a fat quarter down then lay the baby face down on it, then use another to cover the baby. I did finally get her to call it fabric, but she prefers to call it a Kilt aka quilt. She lights me up, can you tell??? I took home a quilt that I gave Brayden at one to do some needed repairs, Kamryn said she would fix it. Of course she didn't but she is VERY interested!!!!!!!

Oh, I forgot, I also included a picture of my Wild side quilt in progress! More to come!

Do I see a toy sewing machine in Kamryn's immediate future? :-)
