Looking for Me?

Hello! Today is Friday November 19, 2011 and this is my last post of 2010! Thanksgiving is already upon us and I am ready to slow down and do the things I need to do for my family. I intend to do some things for myself also. I made a list of all my incomplete quilt projects. I have listed them in stages of completion and priority, well, at least their priority today, you know how that changes!

Anyway, I just want to tell everyone to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Remember, that Jesus is the reason for this glorious season and to share your love.
Just a couple more requests:
Please remember that if you indulge in merriment for the holidays, get a designated driver or stay at home to enjoy the beverage of choice.
Also, with all the extra traffic, please keep an eye out for motorcyclists! Motorcyclists are people too, and are sometimes hard to see on the road. I lost my only nephew in this manner over 3 years ago, so this topic hits close to home. It should be too cold for too many, even more reason to not take it for granted.

Let's all be safe, so we can all enjoy another year together!

Be back after the Holidays!

Hugs and Love to all of you!

Chris

Julie's Dancing Star quilt

This small quilt was designed and made by Julie Sefton. I used my Circle Lord to make the medallion in the center of the circles, and the rest is quilted free motion. Check out pictures in my public album and learn more from Julie's blog at quiltdivajulie.blogspot.com. I was lucky enough to be her quilter! It really is a neat piece.

Enjoy! Happy Friday!

Lynne's Quick Brown Fox quilt!

Lynne is the owner of this darling creation! She posted the completed quilt today at patcherymenagerie.blogspot.com.Check out my public web album by the same name, 64 photos there to see how amazing this quilt is! I consider myself very lucky to have been selected as her quilter on this project, just LOVE it! Check it out! ENJOY!

Sidenote* I had purchased the pictured writing tablet for my grandson to practice with sometime back. I pulled it out while organizing, when I noticed the practice sentence on the cover. You may need to click the photo to see it clearly. What a hoot!!

Davie's Manor visit 2010

Well, I took the day off from work and other daily demands to visit this year's quilt show at Davie's Plantation. It is a local show of quilts that I really do enjoy! They hand out 10 ribbons and the quilts are voted on by the viewers, I like that concept. The display of quilts was really nice this year, approx. 200 entries.
I hope you will look at my public album to see the quilts that I pictured. I did not get photos of all of them only because I was too busy ooohhhh and aaaahhhhhing! I am sure you understand. Enjoy!

My find at JoAnne's

Our local JoAnne's is way across town for me. Luckily, it is close to my mom's house, so when I go see her, I get to stop in. Yesterday, I needed to pick up some solid black fabric to do some practice quilting on, (fabric under book) and lucked up onto this book! The title alone got me! It is named 'Rule-Breaking Quilts' by Kathryn Schmidt by AQS publishing. Kathryn does not care for the Quilt Police, yeah! Why is it that some people feel the need to spoil all our fun by imposing rules! I hope to learn how to 'break' the rules from this inspiring new book!

If you see a copy, you should consider it too! Have fun!
